Introducing the ACR GlobalFix V5 AIS Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon

Discover the cutting-edge ACR GlobalFix V5 AIS Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon, a revolutionary EPIRB with a unique set of features. This innovative device ensures the quickest and easiest path to rescue, thanks to its AIS alert functionality. It also offers the Return Link Service (RLS) feature, providing a reassuring confirmation that your distress message has been received directly by the beacon. Moreover, the incorporation of Near Field Communication (NFC) enables smartphone connectivity and access to unprecedented data and product interaction capabilities. Whether you're coastal cruising, working offshore, or crossing oceans, the GlobalFix V5 is the ideal choice for mariners.

Advanced Features of the ACR GlobalFix V5 AIS EPIRB

Experience the most advanced Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon available today: the ACR GlobalFix V5. This remarkable EPIRB combines 406 MHz satellite connectivity with Automatic Identification System (AIS) functionality. When activated, it transmits your emergency signal to the global Cospas Sarsat satellite rescue system and broadcasts an AIS safety message on VHF frequencies. Nearby vessels equipped with AIS technology can instantly detect the beacon's location, ensuring swift response and rescue efforts. The GlobalFix V5 also features Return Link Service (RLS) technology, a 121.5 MHz homing signal, and visible and infrared strobe lights for enhanced visibility during nighttime or low-visibility situations. Furthermore, the inclusion of Near Field Communication (NFC) enables users to monitor their EPIRB using a smartphone app. ACR, a world leader in marine safety and rescue technology, has designed the GlobalFix V5 GPS EPIRB with AIS to combine durability, reliability, and advanced technology for expedited rescue response.

Enhanced Rescues with Global and Local Rescue Pairing

The ACR GlobalFix V5 EPIRB accurately determines its position anywhere worldwide by leveraging GNSS (GPS, Galileo, Glonass) positioning networks. Once activated, distress transmissions on the 406 MHz frequency relay the GPS EPIRB (GPIRB) position, accurate to within 100 meters, to the global Cospas Sarsat search and rescue satellite network. Through advanced AIS technology integrated into the EPIRB, nearby vessels equipped with AIS transponders receive an immediate AIS signal, notifying them of the beacon's location. Vessels within VHF range of the EPIRB can view a safety message on their screens, including MMSI vessel identification. Local responders can swiftly pinpoint the EPIRB's location as it appears as an AIS target on their onboard display. Vessels with AIS can navigate directly to the EPIRB by selecting the AIS target. This remarkable technological advancement reduces response times, ultimately saving lives.

Smartphone Connectivity with Near Field Communication (NFC)

Seamless smartphone connectivity is now possible through Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. By placing your smartphone adjacent to the GlobalFix V5 Emergency Positioning Indicating Radio Beacon, you can effortlessly access beacon diagnostics using the ACR Product App. The app provides essential beacon status information, including current battery life, completed self-tests, completed GNSS tests, and activation duration. It also offers detailed information on each self-test and GNSS test, presenting a map view of the previous test's location, test date and time, time taken to obtain GNSS coordinates, number of satellites utilized, and accuracy of the fix. NFC-enabled App connectivity ensures easy monitoring of all EPIRB functions to ensure proper functionality.
