The Rigging Shoppe has been proudly serving sailors and power boaters since 1969, helping make time on the water safer and more enjoyable. Founded by Bruce and Shirley Burgess, the shop was built on a commitment to quality products and fair prices. Their daughter, Carolyn Burgess, carried that vision forward, growing the business and building a trusted place where boaters could find expert knowledge and support.

Today, Paul and Diane Reid continue to uphold the same values that have guided the Rigging Shoppe for over 55 years—community, service, and a passion for boating.

Meet the Team

Diane, Owner Diane is a professional skipper, racer & instructor. She’s sailed over 100,000 miles so if it breaks, you know she knows how to fix it!	Paul, Owner Paul is an experienced boater and racer with over 30 years experience.

Carolyn C, Administration For 27-years Carolyn has owned, helmed, and raced inshore and offshore boats, attending keynote events such as Key West, Caribbean 600, Chester, NOOD.	Ken, Rigging Ken has been rigging boats for as long as he can remember. Boatside or in the shop, you’ll love his attention to detail and technical abilities.

Mike, Sales Mike grew up cruising the Northumberland Straight in his family cruiser ‘Ten Penny’, whose name is now on his C&C29.	Heinz, Sales Heinz grew up in the hospitality industry. He enjoys cruising his Northern 29 on Lake Ontario.
