The West System Aluminum Boat Repair Kit contains G/flex Liquid Epoxy Resin & Hardener 650-8, and West 406 Adhesive Filler for thickening.
The clamshell Repair Kit contains two 4 oz. bottles of liquid G/flex Epoxy (one 4 oz. resin and one 4 oz. hardener), 406 Adhesive Filler, 2 reusable mixing sticks, 2-12cc syringes, 2 mixing cups, 2 pair disposable neoprene gloves and handling and repair instructions.

G/flex is toughened, with a modulus of elasticity of 150,000 psi, and is a bit more flexible than standard epoxies and polyester, but much stiffer than adhesive sealants. This gives G/flex the ability to make structural bonds that can absorb the stresses of expansion, contraction, shock and vibration. It is ideal for permanent waterproof bonding of dissimilar materials, fiberglass, ceramics, metal, plastics, damp and difficult-to-bond woods.
The G/flex is versatile. It will wet-out and bond fiberglass tapes and fabrics and can be modified with West System fillers and additives. G/flex bonds to a wide range of materials. Glue damp, resinous and exotic woods. Bond to and repair aluminum and fiberglass canoes and runabouts, polyethylene and ABS kayaks canoes. Glue PVC, polystyrene and polycarbonate.
